Hell, the album title is probably enough to motivate someone to kill a gay northener.

So if this is the case, Neil and Chris would have to go back to the studio and record another 6 tracks.

Also, it's ONE PERSON'S OPINION!!! One person who had enough to say about tracks 1-8.. or whose taste was for the more HI N R G Electro earlier on the LP.

Personally, after what I've heard about them, Luna Park and Casanova in Hell are two I'm really looking forward to.

Though, obviously, I'm really like mature and can quite happily leave it until May or June or 2009... without losing my rag. Honest.

reading between the lines in literally, I am starting to think that casanova in hell will actually be kind of pretty and beautiful as opposed to what I initcially thought going by the title.which sort of makes it sound sleazy.

I don't know why but I think there is a possibility of some changes in the tracklisting. The official site hasn't confirmed that the list they have put on the net will be de definitive one. It's another possibility for a delay.

If there is a problem with the title just call it "MINIMAL" which is about right for the Pet Shop Boys out put..and as most people did not like the Psychological instrumental version it could have dropped plus some of the weaker songs.

I wouldn't say most people. At best it's mixed. In my speculation, I think it's more of an image/arty thing, rather than a musical issue. As for the title of the album, I think it's more relevant than ever. They would be stupid to ditch the title. It would be disappointed if they did.

We can speculate on whether or not the one person in the media (the only source we know of with the promo) doesn't think much of the second half of the album, but that doesn't mean they would or should record a few more tracks. His taste has always been dubious, and he's hardly a tastemaker. If this was the case the album and artwork would be delayed further. Get a grip folks!

Maybe they just don't want to compete with the West End Girls album....

Yup ... That MUST be it ....

I seem to recall that the album info on the Official Site said the album was EXPECTED to be released in April - I'd go try to copy & paste it but I can't be bothered at the moment. Maybe the German label is right but then again they could be wrong. Until I see that Neil or Redman has confirmed this on the OS, I'm not going to get my undies in a bundle. And, even if they do comfirm a delay - well, that wouldn't be a first, either, now would it?
Don't get me wrong -- I NEED new PSB songs. And I WANT them yesterday, if not sooner .... but, hey____ it's out of my control.

BTW = I think Problems with the artwork sounds like a classic PSB title.

Adding to what i said earlier, If we aren't use to delays by now, there is something wrong. EVERYTHING they do gets delayed.

Who knows, we might be getting art work along the lines of Very or Alternative. Something thats really complicated. I'm sure we can cope with a 4 week delay.

All these conspiracy theories! PSB releases are always delayed - it is traditional. They probably just aren't ready to roll with art work, videos, photographs and so on.
