Ah, Divine. Bobby O.

I've Got Plans (Involving You) was certainly wearing its influences on its sleeve...
I saw Divine on a wet Wednesday night in Streatham. She was great!
I just missed her legendary appearance on a Thames barge which kicked off one of the first London Pride marches I attended.

Is there anyone you haven't met, Sandy?
Hehe!

I must make my list one day...

Bowie must be coming up on the programme soon...

I didn't ever meet Sharon Redd, but I did see her at Brixton Fridge.
Sadly she passed away far too early with HIV/AIDS

Nothing will convince me they didn't have a hand in Dizzy.

In the Evening

Happy memories of dancing in Heaven...

I'm wiped out...night all...

This Noel Coward song was a favourite of a dear friend of mine.

Here's the first show: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0024pb1

Lovely to hear Neil sing Sheryl Lee Ralph's In The Evening.

Believe it or not, Tom Hanks is one of the well-known people I've met! I complimented him on his performance in Philadelphia. He was very charming and had a brief chat about acting with myself and a colleague.

Not overly surprising when you consider it came out in 1993, just before Pete Andreas's death.

That'll frighten the horses.
They ripped off the chord change for the bridge of ‘I Get Excited (You Get Excited Too)’ from that then… :-D

I reckon they wrote it, produced it, gave it to Olly and used nom de plumes. Just so in their own minds they can put the “you would win Eurovision” talk to bed finally.

It's A Dizzy Sin, ahem!

King would have been a more obvious choice for the show last night, when it popped up I had a little chuckle to myself.

You can definitely hear the influence of Divine’s ‘Shoot Your Shot’ on ‘I’ve Got Plans (Involving You)’. The chorus melody and chord change.

Chris drinking Valerian tea is quite the mental picture.
