Definitely, wouldn't surprise me if it's more given Warners standard reissues are around the £40-50 mark at the moment.

Still waiting for the official annoncement on psb site. Would be great if they had planned a super deluxe edition for die hard fans at the same time.

I actually like the title - and artwork, although Seriously really should be on there - the 7" mix is amazing. And woudl ahve kept the fans happy. Definitely a question to ask in literally! Why the erasure of How can you expect to be taken seriously?

Re: Smash - The Singles 1985 - 2020
The word Smash is slang for sex. I.e. "smash or pass", "would you smash".
So it's a bit of funny title.
Also makes me think of Smash Hits magazine, bit of a throwback.
I don't mind the cover art. It's not a deep introspective or groundbreaking release.
It's a greatest hits album to be sold in petrol stations and bargain sections of record stores.
It reminds me of the Rage logo. Which is TV show in Australia where music videos are played,
so personally I just associate the image with Rage and how it's consumer-friendly but also
alternative enough to have a cult following.
I don't mind the art direction at all. It has motion, just like the title being an action word.
It's like go out and buy it, play the album. It conveys speed and convenience,
which is what you want with a greatest hits compilation.

In Fairness though whatever greatest hits configuration they came up with, would anyone really buy it.tottenhammattspurs wrote: Thu 30 Mar 2023, 8:17 amE-Mail Vampire wrote: Thu 30 Mar 2023, 8:15 am At least one new track would have been nice otherwise it doesn’t provide much incentive to purchase.
Also SMASH doesn’t sit right as title. Journey, Timeline or History would have felt more fitting.
A greatest hits covering the period from I’m With Stupid until I Don’t Wanna and a new track would have been a slightly better ideal. Or just covering the Stuart Price era(s) called Trivial.
But no-one would have bought that. The casual fan would t recognise anything and everyone on here would say “I already have these”![]()
At least one new track would help and not a remix of a single.
I only say doing a greatest hits from I’m With Stupid onwards as at least then it would be a continuation of sorts from PopArt. It would also contain a handful of top 20’s (including 1 top 10) and some other top 40 hits.

Indeed. As long as Danny Rampling isn't involved though..tottenhammattspurs wrote: Thu 30 Mar 2023, 10:51 am Could we hope for :- SMASHED - The non stop 74 min remix megamix bonus cd?

Aaah ok another greatest hits .. good for the cash in with their recent Glasto appearance and the upcoming concerts - not something I’ll be buying but great for the casual fan base
Those sleeve images look damn cool .. would love a poster of all those blurred out covers.
In fact I shall make one myself

you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Seems strange there's still no announcement on PSB official website..
