Oh. Well obviously that must mean they have sold 38 million albums worldwide then :?

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. :wall:

Prior to the release of Nightlife they had sold more than 30m. There were quite a few
articles that stated that.Surely you remember?.

So you made up the "precise" number of 38 million based on a few articles and an estimation that Nightlife, Release and PopArt sold 8 million all in all?

I'm just trying to clarify what's fact and what's speculation. I would love to see documented worldwide sales figures for PSB (and Morrissey for that matter) but I am not sure they exist.

That´s fair enough. Release Nightlife Popart and the rest of their albums have sold 8 million between 1999 and now you don`t think thats realistic?.
Prior to the release of Release PSB had sold 250.000 albums in Denmark source EMI Denmark.

Where have you got those numbers from? I'm assuming you have documentation since you present them with such conviction.

From what we usually hear, Very is supposed to have sold around 4 million albums worldwide, and that should be their best sellling album, so something doesn't quite add up.
Introspective is their best selling album

Again, documentation?

Edit: Okay, we have the boys word for that but does anyone have any actual figures?

We have the Boys word for that, and it's pure logic.

During Introspective, PSB was massive all over (including US).
Very hit big but not in all territories.

I bet the number of 40 million albums is clearly exaggerated. Every magazine writes a different number from time to time. All we know is that they sold between 30 and 40 million albums. No one can say the exact number of copies.
