Ha Ha, I've touched a soft spot, disagree with Patrick and you'll never hear the end of it! Surprisingly you've forgotten to keep going on about you're like for like comparison between a defender and midfielder!!!! So have a go at me in another way to try and save face, I understand!
But just to please you, I really really want Manchester United to buy Luka Modric, Undertaker and Patrick on the petshopboys forum think, sorry know that he is better than every United midfielder (even John O'Shea the defender!) and so United need him in order to win things which they are struggling to do at the moment. The magnificent league cup and FA cup could be won next season on top of the average Premiership title and Champions league final (at least). Seriously, some people don't like people disagreeing with them do they now? Pick a decent random player and if the Man Utd fan doesn't want to sign him then he is obviously an arrogant so and so!!!!
You have mocked the opinion that Luka Modric is quality. Also, what Patrick was referring too, has nothing to do with positions on the pitch. *You* made the basic mistake of saying someone could not be a quality player because he hasn't won anything. Thats why the superb player known as John O'Shea was brought into it. Sorry but you tried saving face after some terribly appalling statements. You remind me of a few people. Those that can't see anything good outside of Old Trafford. Oh yeah, the stereotypical Man Utd fan
For the record, John O'Shea has played in midfield. He's played in all positions and i'm sure he started his career at left mid. As a United fan, you should know that

Now you are (Yes, once again, what a surprise!) putting words into my mouth!
Basically you are not happy that I like John O'Shea and think he is a decent player (5 premiership title's plus Champion's league and domestic cup's), he is a player that has averaged almost 30 games a season for United the last 7 odd years which tells me he is pretty useful (got injured last season and missed quite a few games of course). And he is now a defender but has played in every position including goalkeeper a few years back. He is not a midfielder but has played there a bit in the past of course, yes I know that but defense is his best position. Versatile players are good at any club I'd say, but probably not you!! I love the way people like to have a go at United players when without doubt you would love these kind of loyal hard working players at your club's. I think the John O'Shea, Gibson type players are one of the main reasons United are so good. Players that don't moan when they are on the bench and can come in a do a decent job. Players that are Man Utd through and through and would die for the club. I don't think you understand that. I suppose if it was Spur's then he would be out and they would go through 5 or 6 foreign players trying to find a replacement. Don't give the lad time, get him out! Unreal!
As for Modric, you are really not happy that I don't believe United really need this player are you? I know he is a decent player but I just don't know if he would improve the team. And just because I am a Man Utd fan doesn't mean that if I disagree with you on whether we should sign a player or not then I am "typical"! I have to say that that attitude is pretty sad and pathetic, but you know that very well. Typical Undertaker attack! Agree with me or you are a typical United fan! Seriously? Pretty pathetic attitude, without doubt!
Modric is decent, no doubt about that, but just because you think he is the bee's knee's doesn't mean that Manchester United have to sign him and if somebody disagrees then they are typical! He might sign and do very well and I'd be happy, but there are many, many equally decent player's out there. Sorry if I have offended you there. I suppose you think Gary Neville was crap too no doubt. Try looking at yourself as a typical Man Utd hater before looking at me as a typical Man Utd fan, it is much more appropriate. But you know that.

I haven't put words in your mouth at all. You mocked the fact that Luka Modric was a quality player and you also said he can't be quality because he hasn't won anything. You said it Douvres, i'm afraid and you were brought to book on it. It's not big deal really, just don't try denying that you made those statements. That's what's annoying.
As for John O'Shea, i think he's a good pro actually. No world beater but doesn't do too much wrong.

O'Shea is pretty well recognised as a bit of an all-rounder, isn't he? He can play all across the back four or in midfield.
Wikipedia wrote:Born in Waterford, O'Shea moved to Manchester when he was 17 and is considered to be one of the most versatile players in the Premier League, being mainly used as a utility player. He has played in every position for Manchester United, including a brief spell as an emergency goalkeeper in a match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Sorry pal but I do like the word "quality" to be backed up by something, that's all. I don't think that's too much to ask to be fair. And you are very annoying too. All this "typical Man Utd fan" bollock's, Modric is good but there are lot's of quality players out there too you know (probably not!) And you don't see John O'Shea as a world beater, well I don't see Modric as a world beater also. Plain and simple. And stop having a go at me for making statement's when you come out with constant bollocks all the time! What was your classic about? something like "The average football fan would rate Modric and Bale above any current Man United player"!!!!! Oh sorry, that's just your opinion, shame you don't like me having one though! You are unreal, and just keep going on and on about what other people say, completely forgetting your own statement's (oh sorry, it's alway's just an opinion for you!!!) Seriously, you are full of shite!

Yes it's exactly the same, full of undertaker's "opinion's" and everybody else's (that disagree's with him) statement's.
Anyway, let's not let ourselves judge footballer's by what they've achieved, doesn't mean anything, does it? Well, a Spurs fan would disagree with that wouldn't they?

I think O'Shea a decent enough player too but he's expendable. Any half-decent footballer would pick up medals at one of the biggest sides in Europe. There are plenty of average players who have won Championship medals - David May springs to mind. Anyway when Rednose buys Modric you'll have to admit that Undertaker and I were correct.....again.

Will I? I mean, the problem is that any half decent footballer would pick up medals at one of the biggest sides in Europe so why would Modric be any different? You'll have to admit that the Erasure and Manchester united fan has a point there. But I doubt you will.
I just don't get you two though, I have to want United to sign the players you want or I'm a "typical Utd fan"? What the hell is that all about? I think he's a good player but I'm just not sure that he will better United that's all. Of course I could be wrong but we can only ever know in a few years if he signs. I'm not against it, just not his biggest fan and I think there is better out there. Obviously you are going to tell me there is not! That's called opinion and I have one too I'm afraid!

Indeed he will. Although i suspect it goes a lot deeper than opinions on football. Mr Douvres gets personal in near on every rant and that's what it is... a rant
The difference is, he can dish it out but can't take it. He has to resort to getting personal. We could all do that i suppose but what's the point when his tantrums are there for all to see. Strange isn't it, how nobody seems to agree with the stereotypical ManUre fan

Actually, anyone outside of Old Trafford would disagree because the glory-hunters and non stereotypical fans could simply say ''Darren Gibson'' and walk off pointing and laughing at you

You don't like Darren Gibson? Erm, good for you! And you must be right about people laughing at him, anybody that play's for Manchester United must be a very poor player. Honestly, are you serious? And you are doing another one of your famous opinion fact rant's! "Actually, anybody outside of Old Trafford........." Man, you are full of the brown stuff! What is it you've already said, Modric one of the best midfielders? Talking about people walking off pointing and laughing!
Didn't Gibson score a couple of crackers for United against Spurs in the league cup last season? To be fair that is quite a major achievement when you consider that the league cup is a major competition for a team like Spurs. True I"m afraid. Sorry, but Spurs are hardly one of England's best teams which is surprising when you consider they apparently have the two best midfielders in the world?!
I do love the way that people like you always use the same, simple stereotypical phrases to have a go at a Man Utd fan that disagrees with your opinion! So original, well done! Please, tell me who I am supossed to like and not like at Man Utd, you are apparently the football expert. Oh wait, don't you often go on to me about how it is just your opinion? But you seem to find it difficult to accept other people's. That's called hypocrisy I believe?
Now surprise me with another one of your stereotypical comeback responses, Yawn!
