Yes, I have thought about that as well. But that would mean that the album's title is indeed

I think Neil will be well aware that Eponymous has been used as an album title before (for REM) and So was used by Peter Gabriel.
Possibly suggested before, but what about
Pet Shop Boys, Really?
You have to say it in an American sitcom voice. Appropriate as it's for their LA album ...

"By". "Can I have the new album By Pet Shop Boys?" or "Bye, i'm going to buy "By". (Would be also a great payoff for whenever they'll put out their farewell album: "Bye Bye But Before Buy By").
Also, wasn't "Introspective" going to be called "f" at one point? Maybe they'll do something similar.

I think it will be a full stop, so Pet Shop Boys . Imagine a pure white sleeve with one tiny dot in the middle.
The bonus disc will be titled 'Period'
