Robbie's Advertising space vs PSB's Birthday Boy/London

...if this hasn't been discussed here before and I've merely missed it...
...PLEASE tell me someone else hears the connection between these songs, especially the Peel session demo version of "London" and the instrumental part after the second chorus of "Advertising space". The flanging of the steel guitar is SO stolen from the London demo and the general music is from Birthday boy - or isn't it?

Anyone else have an opinion?
