another smash hits topic

The topic on smash hits has made me wonder, would neil and chris have been succesfull if Neil hadn't worked for smash hits ? Who would have financed the trip to the states? Would he have known how to go about meeting Bobby O? Would chris have took Neil serious if he didn't have the smash hits connection and the connections that went with it? :shock: just a thought :wink:

I'm sure Neil had some contacts from his days at Marvel comics or in the print industry.

Actually when they travelled to NY to record with Bobby O, Chris got money from his grandparents. And Neil went to bank. Was this mentioned in About cd ? Can´t remember now.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.
