Another new review!

Ive been lucky enough to hear the next PSB album – the title has been inspired by this BB and its called ‘Obviously’, (also known as Obliviously)

Following the multi-platinum success of Fundamental (even though its not been released yet), the Boys when straight into the studio to record a brand new album:

Track 1: ‘Go North’ – On the surface, a unrelenting attack on the politics of New Labour, but actually it’s about Neil’s decision to move to Hampstead.

Track 2: Maximal – about the time the Boys make the fans wait between albums.

Track 3: ‘I made my excuses and moved to the left’: Neil decides he doesn’t like the smoking ban or the hunting ban and joins the LIBDEMS to fight for the right to kill foxes for fun by making them smoke in public places.

Track 4: ‘Closer to Heaven 2’ Chris laments living so far away from the ‘Departure Lounge’ and his ever increasing taxi bill, so he moves closer to the nightclub so he can walk home.

Track 5: ‘Too Many People 2’: A subtle reference to the overcrowded nature of the ‘Departure Lounge’ on a Saturday night when it takes too long to get the host to get them another glass of free champagne.

Track 6: ‘No Time for Beers’ – Champagne is much nicer after all……

Track 7: Jealousy 2 - a not so subtle song about members of the PSB board who haven’t heard Fundamental yet and have to slag of those who have. ‘You make up lies, and tell porky pies’......... Lots of Trevor Horn bangs and crashes depicting fans smashing up their bedsits in anger as they search Kazaa in vain……..

Track 8: ‘The Sod’em and the Deplorah Show’ : A ‘who cares what the fans think’ megamix featuring ‘Home and Dry’ and ‘I Get Along’ on an endless loop with added guitars, guitars and more guitars.

Track 9 – Holiday – A cover version of the Madge classic, re-mixed by Madge and featuring Madge vocals about Neil and Chris going to Blackpool for a week to recover from the strain of releasing two albums so close together. Neil comes home after day one because Chris goes on and on about ‘this is where I went to school….this is where I had my first snog, and this is ‘Betsey’s’, the café owned by the now famous girl featured in ‘Betsey’s Not Your Girlfriend’.
