If "The Sodom and.....
....Gomorah Show" was released as a single, how would it be percieved? Would an amazing song like this do well in the UK.
I honestly think that this is one of thee most amazing tracks produced by psb and rank it beside So Hard.....and the ressurectionist!

That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

It's the only song on the album with a real shot at being a *real* hit single. It's a commercial song true to the PSB sound (unlike Se A Vida E) without sounding too much like PSB. Infact it sound quite current and fresh. Naturally, it should have been the first single. Too bad that EMI were too scared to release it.
BTW, I love Fundamental.

Yes it is amazing. It is in my private 10 top PSB. If psb will not expel Sodom Show as single, they can squander chance on gerat COME BACK in music world. (I heard that Sodom Show somwhere is typical as hit of the 2006 year, this is truth?) EMI can't use PSB as puppets ( EMI=
PETHEAD) They promote some rapers, which curse in each line of text, but must be clinched for psb!!!
I don't envisage that Sodom Show will not be on small cd.
Even possible think for Video already.
Laugh of somebody, who preseage concert PSB i Sodom and Gomorrah and audience sitting in some amphiteater, laughing and applauding, that psb singing about them..
Anger Of God and fire (on end) destroying city and only psb leaves alive from among rubbles.....
Great Song

Don't hate me, I love the track (3rd favourite) but I think it should be a little redone for being single. I'm not so sure about that long horror circus intro; works fine in the album but it's not perfect for airplay. May be I'm saying something too obvious, or may be I have to let it grow for me. Don't know yet.
But I agree about that 'real shot at being a *real* hit single'; as said before, PSB non fans seem to like it, and in no english speaking countries, the title / lyrics wont be a big problem (if someone cares about that
).
Personally and in a selfish way, I would love Minimal or Integral first, but talking about success for the boys, Sodom seems to be the best option.

Exactly - no wonder the fans prefer Minimal or Integral - the casual pop listener will definintely go for Sodom & Gomorrah. Yet it is still a song that PSB fans really like, unlike something like Se A Vida E.TrasTornado wrote:But I agree about that 'real shot at being a *real* hit single'; as said before, PSB non fans seem to like it, and in no english speaking countries, the title / lyrics wont be a big problem (if someone cares about that).

Unless EMI come to their senses (highly unlikely) - Sodom won't be released.

I think it'd probably scrape into the top 20. I don't think it'd be a massive hit. The production is either horribly dated or pure inspired retro genius depending on your point of view. Of course if it had been the lead single it would have had a better chance. Who knows what the general public would make of it though.
Songs like So Hard and Left to my Own Devices should have been no.1 for 5 weeks imo so the general public shouldn't be trusted really...ever.
