I have now listened to the album via the PC speakers, on the mp3 player whilst running and in the car to work. It took about three or four listens to realise that this album is one of their finest. The number of slower songs does not bother me. The trademark Trevor Horn production goes hand in hand with PSB music. The only disappointment is the quality of the Mp3's but it won't be long til the headhones can be put on and the original CD plays.
Its been a fad recently for bands to release the CD with a DVD of the same album mixed in 5.1. I would love to hear this album in 5.1.
Not interested in any other albums in 5.1 but fundamental 5.1 would sound amazing.... its the way forward ..... here is hoping ...

I know!!!
That would have been nice
Maybe if they release a live DVD of the upcoming tour it will include the album in 5.1 (highly doubt it tho...).
Anyway, another album (Fundamentalism, ok 2 new songs & remixes but still...) is even better IMO!

I see no need for the early albums to be 5.1'd. We have had them remastered. that should be enough. Mr Horn is the king of overstatement (usually assisted by Mr Lipson). The tracks he produces lend themselves to be explored on a grand wide soundscape.
Going away from PSB for a moment .....
I would also like to see the Erasure album Erasure in 5.1 ......
Back to PSB .... i really do not have any need for any previous albums in 5.1. a proper 5.1 of the somewhere DVD would be nice.

Just got the single for I'm with stupid, and I have to say the difference in quality between that and what was floating around the net early on is ASTONISHING. The CD sounds SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better--much punchier and cleaner, and the opening drums really pop. Another reason to support the guys by buying the REAL DEAL.
