Fundamental shopping trip...

#1 Post by DavePSB »

Whilst in Brighton today I looked around most of the the music shops to see what shop is doing what in terms of promotion for the new album. Armed with my mobile camera phone I took some dodgy pics, and here's the evidence...

Shop 1 - HMV, Brighton (Churchill Square)
Image
Fundamentalism (Part One) at the back of the store, amongst the 'single' vinyls - £3.99

Shop 2 - Virgin, Brighton (Churchill Square)
Image
Fundamentalism (Part One) on the first floor amongst the 'single' vinyls - £3.99

Image
I'm with stupid 7" vinyl on the first floor amongst the 'single' vinyls - £1.99

Shop 3 - WHSmith, Brighton (Churchill Square)
Image
Fundamental, number 7 in their chart. £9.99

Shop 4 - Woolworth, Brighton (Western Road)
Image
Both single and double CD of Fundamental. number 6 in their chart - £9.97 and £16.97 respectively

Image
Discography, number 12 in their 'Cheap Chart' - £5.99

Shop 5 - HMV, Brighton (Western Road)
Image
Fundamental - £9.99

Image
Ditto

Bargain!

As soon as you walk into the store... Fundamental is there.

Good work, Dave. I always 'accidentally' re-arrange the displays to give PSB maximum impact.

I went into my local HMV and they weren't on those racks, they were on the shelves behind a load of other stuff  *their vinyl/single section is rather messy...*
So, I put all of them (about 4) on an empty rack like in that picture :shifty:

Hee, good one Dave... and I know exactly where you took those pics!
I went fishing with Salvador Dali; he used a dotted line.

I tried a few HMV's for the Limited Edition and it seems they didn't order enough of this issue and said more were on order! PAH to that......I finally got it in good old Virgin in Piccadilly for £16.99!

I only paid £4.99 for Fundamentalism and £12.99 for Fundamental LP, plus got 2 free posters with my purchase. Off to get the 2CD for £13.99 tomorrow, and get a free poster with that

How comes?
Our only decent specialist shop closed after 30 years due to rising rents.
Pity as I got some good rarities from there that hadn't been browsed by sticky hands.
