This is how I see the next 6-9 months panning out for our two favourite synth-pop maestros:

July Minimal gives the boys their 12th #12 UK hit, entering just below 'download only' Paris Hilton. The single causes a mild ripple of interest in 'Fundamental', which re-enters the top 75 for 1 week!

October Robbie Williams releases his 'left-field' album to mass critical acclaim. The stand out tracks are the two produced by PSB, suddenly every 12 year old girl in Britain owns PSB produced material. The furore catapults Fundamental back in to the upper echelons of the UK album chart.
Numb is released at the end of the month, entering on downloads, climbing to #4 and staying in the Top 40 for 15 weeks! Up & down like a fecking yo-yo it is!

XMAS 06 Fundamental lingers around the top 20 over the whole massive unit shifting xmas period, selling more in xmas week than in it's first 5 months combined!
In America, Numb is getting seriously heavy rotation on all the key W.A.N.K 169 FM stations. Some bad shit happens and they use the music for the heart-strings montage. Americans everywhere forget about gayness and irony and by the time New Year kicks in PSB are back at the US #1 spot, 21 years after West End Girls had given them their first and what seemded like only stateside chart topper :!:

FEB 07 Fundamental still in the top 40 uk chart (people are buying it at the supermarket!) climbs into the US Top 10. Sales figures are now UK: 900,000; US 1.5mill; WW 6mill.
World tour reaches UK. The original venues (Bridlington Community centre) have been upgraded to Arenas and every chav and his grandmother wants tickets to see PSB be the first music act to play at the delayed reopening of Wembley Stadium :!:
Integral does a 'Heart' and despite being the 4th single from the current album storms to the top of the UK chart. It stays there for 5 weeks, Fundamental finally reaches the UK #1 position, speeding past the million+ UK sales mark.
The boys refuse to collect their Brit awards for Best Group, Best Album, Best single/ video/ producer (actually, Trevor doesn't refuse his) and Lifetime Acheivement. "We don't like award ceremonies. They remind us of school", says Neil.

In a parallel universe. Somewhere. Perhaps.

So I was perhaps a little over-enthsiastic with Minimal's chart pos & the subsequent sales boost for Fundamental. But not overly-so (at least i didn't predict top 5). And look, Numb WILL be the next single...

Ooh spooky. Lets hope the rest or something near comes true.

Because it's predictable paint-by-numbers and 15 years out of date.
