Looking at the more than 300 mixes uploaded to the U-myx PSB microsite, I think a lot of people isn´t finding it so pointless as you did...

The good thing about U-MIx is that you can crack it, save seperate tracks and then create your own, new remix.
I already did one and I'm working on a second. Dunno where to upload them, though, to share them with you.

It's a nice thing to play with but hardly useful for remixing. At least you get the vocals as WAVs and can copy them into a software like Cubase.
