Throw / DJ Fresh

#1 Post by andmaste »

Is it Throw a good song?
Is it worth buying the CD album of DJ Fresh?
Is it better than WowieZowie (by Superchumbo)?

Thanks

Andrea

I like Dan Fresh, he made one of the best drum n bass tunes ever - The Nine. However 'Throw' is not a very good track at all.
Hello my name is Neil Tennant and I'm Chris Lowe and we're of the Pet Shop Boys.

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.

I think 'Throw' is absolutely brilliant, a wonderful mellow tune. The album, however, is disappointing.
Passion, love, sex, money, violence, religion, injustice and death. More on that story later.

I'm sure the voice on Throw is improvised (not Neil's) as he's talking utter rubbish. The song musically is good, and Neil compliments it well.

I just got this on Saturday & I've listened to it a couple of times. My inital reaction was that it's a nice song.
I've just popped it back into the player &, as I sip a rum & Coke, watch the sun set & let my mind wander, I rather like it's summery feel.
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...

Not a bad track (Neil saves it, actually), but there are far superior tracks on the album to this. Worth buying and definitely not worse than Wowie Zowie by the "beloved" Superchumbo (I actually quite like it too). Talking about PSB related djs, producers, remixers, etc., there´s a brilliant album by Tiga "Sexor". Check it out!;)
Chris Heath: Why you're surfing?
Chris Lowe: Coz we can!
Neil Tennant: Exactly. :D
(Performance commentary during What have I done to deserve this??)
