I've never understood the UK's fascination with him. And listening to the BBC concert just now has reinforced my opinions on his completely lacklustre singing abilties.

Anyone care to explain how he got so huge?

He's Norman Wisdom meets Phoenix Nights; the ultimate karaoke singer for a nation fascinated by Pop Idol and who all secretly dream of singing Angels before millions with the same nondescript mid-Atlantic twang.

No. I don't think he is a good singer although I like Millenium, Feel and one or two others.

He is a great enterainer. But an average singer. But with some excelent tracks and personality you don't need a great voice now, do you?

well, as an American, I don't get it. I've listened to some of his stuff, specifically Angels, Feel etc. I still don't get it. his voice is pretty nondescript.... maybe it's something the Brits see/get that we/I don't. oh well.

What is it with some Americans and the need to "GET" or "Understand" what the UK likes about an artist.
The point is that there is NOTHING to GET.
He is an entertainer and once part of a boy band, like Justin was to N-Sync.
And like Robbie, there is nothing to GET about Justin.

I think Neil said something similar about PSB success in America, because theyy simply didn't GET the PSB package, and like Neil said there is nothing to GET!

Rant over! Nothing personal!

I don't need (or want HA!) to 'get' Robbie. ;)

what I don't 'get' is his popularity over in the UK.

What I don't get is this getting on about getting to get while there isn't anything to get. What i'm I getting at? I hope you get it if not it isn't worth getting at all. Get it?
