Not really. Fundamental has already sold more than most would have expected. It wont shift anymore copies, so it either sits in the warehouse getting covered in cobwebs, or its reduced to see if it can sell a few more copies.

I don't think an album priced at 3.99 is allowed to chart though. I think they have to have a limit.

I think it's still chart eligible at that price. I remember a couple of years ago Tracy Chapman's debut album suddenly reappeared in the top 20 and I thought 'how on earth did that happen?' I then found out it was being sold really cheaply in an HMV sale - it may have been £3.99 actually. Of course, with chart rules constantly changing they may have put a price limit on the charts since then.

It will be able to chart. Full price CD's that have been put down in a sale can chart, but CD's released at a budget price can't. Stupid I know..

I worked for Virgin Megastores for over six years, and know that during some sales, we had to print special "sale" UPC barcodes and cover over the existing barcode on the album/video etc. Therefore, the album sale did not count for a possible chart tally. If anyone did purchase a £3.99 copy of the album, did you notice if there was an original barcode scanned or a stickered one?
