Numb UK Single tracklisting is wrong!

#1 Post by moxlox »

So its here! Hooray for a new Pet Shop Boys single.

I've got to say its my least favourite track on Fundamental but CD2 is great with the demo version, Party Song and Bright Young Things. All good and a worthwhile single in my collection.

CD1...well, it will just go on my shelf I suppose. But I still like to promote the boys.

However on CD2 the track listing is the wrong way around!!! It says Bright Young Things followed by Party Song.... How many times have there been Parlophone c*ckups like this?

With next to no promotion, an odd choice of single, total change of formats compared to other Fundamental singles, silly DVD singles with the b-sides on them...oh and the same (very good) sleeve on both Numb singles the cheapskates, are Parlophone trying to sabotage PSBs releases??! Ok a bit strong but you get the point.

Someone needs to sort out their single releases as the choices from the last few albums has not been good. Combined with stupidity from Parlophone I am convinced it is having an impact on their sales.

Still as I said...I do like the song collection on Numb CD2 so all is not bad!

Has CD2 the big NUMB word inside of the CD cover, for example on the booklet's back.

Yeah, it covers the 2 pages when they are unfolded.

Yeah. I know. Mentioned it in another tread.

I do prefer Bright Young Things being 3rd on CD when you listen to it...Save the best B-side till last.

Maybe they got it wrong cos' both B-sides have the word Party in them & the big bosses who decide these things heard 'Party' during the 5 seconds they listened to it & that was that.

As long as they are on there, who cares.

The killer is when the single is not available. If that happens again as it did with Minimal, then you can blame Parlophone.

It might be the CD pressing plants fault.
