CONCRETE : CD one ERROR

#1 Post by yves »

I bought "Concrete" yesterday in a FNAC-store in Belgium.

CD one doesn't play at my computer. There's an error in the first track Left to my own devices when I play it with a CD-player.

I'm just back from the store to change it but ALL COPIES in the store have the SAME ERROR with CD one. CD two has no errors.

I've got my money back.

Someone with the same problem in other countries ?

LISTEN BEFORE YOU BUY !!!

That's strange Wieske because we open 3 copies in the store today and they all give the same problem I've had at home. :cry:

Track 1 ( Left to my own devices ) skips constantly till track 2.

Same problem here, CD1 doesn't play on my PC or stereo.

I've got this cheap CD-player in the kitchen which plays it just fine though...

btw I also bought it @ FNAC

Oh, I thought I was the only one because Wieske had no problem. He also bought it at FNAC.
Thanks for the info !!! I'm not alone now !

I've tried it at my PC, DVD-player and several CD-players at home and in my car.
Track one gives errors in every equipment I've tried.

Now, I've bought it by Amazon in the UK together with Catalogue, Numb and A Life In Pop. I hope I've more luck now.

Someone making love on the recording machine on track one while recording the album again?
Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

Why don't you guys put hands on 'Numb' copies? Those are failed singles.

I had the same thing. The first 1:18 minutes of Left to my own devices went wrong: my stereo played it at double speed and my PC didn't play it at all. Exchanged it by now.

Shot in the dark, but this isn't anything to do with copy-protection is it?

Don't think so, because there's no problem with CD two.

Indeed, that's the same problem I've had.
