Worst/ Best Towns or Cities?

#1 Post by homer1972 »

I work for a pharmaceutical company and this week had to travel up north to Lincolnshire for a meeting.
While there I had the misfortune of visiting Grimsby, which has to be one of the worst places ever to appear on the face of the earth and also to Cleethorpes, on the other end of the spectrum but close to Grimsby, which was really outstanding and picturesque.
So where was the best/worse place you have visited?

Best City: Alicante
Worst City: LA.

I like Inverness as a place, dunno why. I also like tunbridge wells. Not really a fan of Manchester.
That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

Yes, St Annes is fine. I work there.... but Blackpool, believe me, needs £££s of investment now...

They have the coolest football team name, tho. Boby Brno. Always the great hope in the Intertoto Cup.

Best cities I've visited are Vancouver and Prague. Other really nice places are the American Northwest, Shenandoah National Park in Virginia and the Swedish countryside (of course).

Worst cities are Athens (what a dump), Stockholm (overrated and smelly) and Biarritz (being there involuntary).

Hah, I live a few minutes from a Grimsby, but it's just an average nice suburb, like most cities near Toronto. The worst small town I've been to is probably Dunnville or Campden, and the worst big city is likely London. It's probably not the worst, but I had my worst trip there.

I live in Healing, a small village on the border of Grimsby. It's gorgeous in the summer. Most villages tend to be though.

Middlesbrough is a town they forgot to close down. Places like Ripon are really nice.

Abroad ;- Rome and Prague are gorgeous.

Best Place : California. The sun, the beautiful settings and tons of great attractions. Nice restaurants and clubs.

Worst : New York (I don't understand why people are soooo crazy in love with New York because it's dirty, too many people, it takes hours to get a bloody taxi and people are so rude. I don't talk about people that lives around New York, I have very nice friends from the suburbs but downtown is hell. Why they don't make t-shirt with "I hate NY" on them ? I would surely buy one.

Cheers,

Cly xxx
