The History of House Music (aka a freakin' goldmine)

So, I lived in Chicago since 2000 and I've always loved the fact that it's the home of house music but lamented that I wasn't around to hear the beginning of house emerge in the mid-80's.

Well, that's now changed as *the* house radio station of the 80's has now released mp3 archives of some of the most amazing documents of early house (1983-1988), with some featuring, that's right, the Bobby O version of 'West End Girls'... What's especially great is hearing it in the context of all the other house/hi-nrg music of the time... still standing out but glorious in context as well.

Pretty amazing stuff: Ralphie Rosario, Frankie Knuckles, Farley JackMaster Funk, etc...

And it's all free! God bless the Internet! hahaha
