Hi Neil. I've always been a big Pet Shop Boys fan and often listen to Disco 2 to get really fired up before matches. Many happy returns."

I won't send my messagess, because it's waste of time, I think.
He will no't read them as always, I think.
Neil would read 1 or 3 messages and close that page.
That's my opinion.

The site will say something like:
Neil was glad to get so many messages and... etc...
It was, it is and it will be.

Neil said he came to the chat, but... he didn't.
Neil would come to this forum just one time, but he prefers to be somewhere else.
So, I don't really try.
Also, I think he doesn't care about these messages.

They answered some of questions few years ago, now they don't even try to contact us.

But it's truth...
Do PSB really care about their fans?
No.

Let's remeber Erasure official forum.
They did remix competitions for fans, they always THINK about people who BUY their music. And it's very good. People come to the Erasure forum and see how they record songs in the studio, how they made their own videos... Everytime.
I am not Erasure fan, but I see how it would be... yes.
What about Pet Shop Boys?
Small pics where Neil took a photo of his last book.
Yes, Neil, it's very interesting, probably reading that book we will look at the Pet Shop Boys different...

Do I really care which book Neil has read?
Do I really care which glasses suit to him?
Do I really care where they go to watch movies and eat?

Fans need some attention. Just a little attention.
They could come here and answer our questions about music...
Pet Shop Boys don't think about it.

Well I only invited fans to leave a message..no one is obliged to do that...

All petheads comment the pet texts because such simple things in life are very special...if Neil want to share that it's a good thing. He is sharing things of the real Neil the person, not the brand name Pet shop boys.He uses sense of humour...Neil and Chris are persons like us,they are not machines of making music....frankly I love their music but I like to know about them as real people too. They did comments on official site but many fans left bad questions or insulting....that's why they had to stop it.

About Erasure I don't know because I only like Pet Shop Boys and only care about them...
I can't compare them...
Now,the guestbooks links are on official site they do care!!!!! :) And yes they do contact fans...

Don't get angry Parkol I respect your opinion ... you are free to do what you want.
Lydia thinks exactly the same as you, fans are free.

Erasure can afford to be on first-name terms with their fans because there aren't actually very many of them. Andy even sends each fan a hand-made birthday card every year.

It amazes me how entitled people can feel in regards to their favourite celebrities, for whatever they do its never enough. Neil and Chris are like everyone else, they just happen to be skilled at making music. They decided to make a career of it and I feel lucky they've shared their music with everyone. I don't have to buy their stuff, but it would be my loss.

Even then they've taken it further; they send Christmas cards every year to fans, are releasing all their relevant material on easy to collect further listening compilations, and had a questions section they stopped only because the questions were embarassing and mundane. They've always been very generous, and with no reason to be, for we owe them as much as they do us. If I'm ever tired with an entertainer I stop buying their product, I don't whine. Please gain some perspective.

I don't compare PSB and Erasure or U2.
We live our lives we grow up their music and PSB are a part of our life.
I just don't understand after so many messages you don't see the result.
It's nothing, absolutely. Of course they don't have answer every message but just a little attention.
Foe example me I never asked Neil about which trousers he will wear...
I ma interesting in their music. That's all.

I respect all opinions, but don't be blind.
Their friends sent their messages to them, they will be invited to Neil's house.
Does Neil really care about a girl from... Mexico or Poland?
I don't believe they need that.
And look they need your messages just 2 times in the year, when Neil's birthday and Chris.
2 days from 365 days. And they will tell you:
Thank you, you were very kind.
That's all.

It doesn't matter how many fans you have. It doesn't matter Erasure or Pet Shop Boys, Madonna or U2. It depends on people.
If you see a homeless dog you could feed it. Other guy just pass.

I just re-watched Life in Pop and noticed that PSB don't talk about fans too much.
They talk about critics, people.

Fans. are there many Pet Shop Boys forums in the net?
I mean big International forums.
No, just 2 really big.
Community and Tennant-Lowe.
i think it's not difficult to come and answer 30-40 questions.
Admin can filter them to chose only correct questions without: Oh, Neil I want a child from you... like this.
They ignore us. Sunglasses and books are very good but, for example me I don't care what he read.

Fans would like to be a a part of that big Pet Shop Boys World as Neil said.
But we are not, we can only watch.
No contact.

They do good things, rare tracks on OS, Literally but there is no contact.
Stupid questions? But what do they really want to see?
There are no saint people on the earth, we are all different.
They write songs about people, they should know it.

I don't have to explain such simply thing older guys who live more than 50 years.
They are in public and they knew what they do. They knew about fans who put money in them, who feed them and who help them to recognize themselves as unique persons. Pet Shop Boys got used to live like that. I am sure they would come here and answer our questions and talk a little.
Imagine, how many people will be happy after that. There are many people who don’t live very good and little attention would be very useful for them. I just say it, because I remember how it’s important to help when you really need it.
1999, probably, it was very hard time period in Russia. My salary was about 1500 rubles it’s 53 dollars per month and I bought expensive Japanese edition of MINI for 23$. So imagine how I can live for 27 $ full month. I had to eat less and work more but that… that a small piece of happiness, their music that brings me ray of light, that helped me. I know what means attention. No one can’t imagine in Europe what means to earn 100 $ per month and STILL get positive in a life. That makes us different.
Section Question was closed. Fans waited for that. PSB fed us promises. Now it’s 2008.
A lot of us are not very young but we remember periods when Very released, Nightlife, Release, we deserve to be noticed. Pet Shop Boys would come and give more attention and let us feel a little happier.
