The keyboardist from Pink Floyd died. Sucks, guess Live 8 was the last time they performed as a full unit.

bummer. I remember when I was a teen we all got high and went to see the wall playing at 12:00 at night at a movie theater. it was kind of a right of passage for some reason.
I still love that story about how they had a giant 40 foot inflatable pink pig created for a outdoor photoshoot and it broke free of its moorings and floated to heathrow airport.

Richard Wright was the only one in PF who tried something close to electronics with Zee project, around 1984. The album was downright terrible but it always makes
me wonder how Pink Floyd would have approached the '80s sound had they remained a proper band and not a Waters/Gilmour solo toy.

And I was too young to see them in Monza (1989) and Turin (1994). Shame! However, from a musical point of view both "Delicate sound of thunder" and "Pulse" are pretty formulaic, aren't they?meiakitty wrote:Oh it reminds me when I taped the Venice concert in 89..I think ...I was a young one and my cousins didn't take me with them. Delicate Sound of Thunder was my fave!! I was fascinated by the man in the lightbulbs suit...LOL That album became the space anthem! Everytime there's a show on tv about NASA or any other out of space related news, you hear bits from that album...it might be because apparently the cassette was the first rock album to be played in space by some soviet cosmonauts!bobo wrote:And I was too young to see them in Monza (1989) and Turin (1994).
