seeing Swing Out Sister in Concert tomorrow night

I'm so excited! I am finally getting to see Swing Out Sister (www.swingoutsister.com) in concert tomorrow night in New York City. I have always loved their songs "Breakout" and "Twillight World". I didn't even think they were still together and performing still.

The Frankie Knuckles remix of Change is *AMAZING*, as is the 12" of Breakout. Have fun!

If you consider them one hit wonders, well "Breakout" is one great hit to have. I have a mini collection of theirs and they had some great songs (Their cover of "Am I the Same Girl" is excellent and I think Martha Stewart used it in commercials for her show). I just looked and was pleasantly surprised to see their newest release actually available in the US!

The instrumental version of "Masquerade" is an absolute masterpiece!

All Pet Shop Boys fans, I know you love perfect pop music, and the first three Swing Out Sister albums may certainly be called such things...check them out!!!! Better To Travel is more 80's synth, Kaelidoscope World is more 60's soundtrack/Bacharach and Get In Touch is more early 90's dance...but seriously look into all of them...since then they have been more jazz/laidback, and certiainly they continue to craft albums with great precision, and if you like the Carpenters, you might want to check out the later albums first, but the first three, are one of the reasons I started buying music in the first place.
