July 2010 listening thread
been listening to a great band from edinburgh who seem to be doing well in the US. they're on the soundtrack for the forthcoming drew barrymore movie, 'going the distance'. Ladies and gentlemen, i give you 'we were promised jetpacks' top quality!

Thanks, they're not bad.
I came across this, very very nice re-working of the Twin Peaks theme.

Speaking of Twin Peaks, Angelo Badalementti should have worked with PSB more.
I appear to be currently listening to Red Letter Day Disc 2 "All I want.....what does it matter...what does it matter...abb shrew say" and Genesis Invisible Touch.
Oh, and I just bought this CD from some girl called Danielle At The Sandwich. I clicked on her on youtubes front page, because she looked a bit Lisa Loeby, and noticed she wears the exact same glasses as I do. Good singer too with a good sense of humour. Happy to support artists with no label who actually have talent. Super Virgin, I'm not looking in your direction.

And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]

Oh! LOL I always thought the name was Danelle ate the sandwich. xD I discovered her through this other youtube band, Pomplamoose, which are great. They make video songs, which means every instrument/voice featured in the song, you see it played live in that recording room. Cute people. They have some really great covers. Check them out!

I've begun listening to Chris Spheeris. I've heard his first album today, and have begun on the second.
Also I have got more into The Police, and heard their Synchronicity album this afternoon all the way through.

If you like this, you can not not like The Bird and the Bee, being that they are practically the same.Pomplamoose, which are great.

Pomplamoose is so awesome. I love their telephone cover and that if you think you need some lovin song.
they show the power of youtube to create stars if they are inventive enough.
