Have been listening to it for a week now and love it. Very much a return to the sound of the first two Domino dancing albums on a few tracks. Standouts for me are:
Girl Panic
Blame the Machines
Being Followed
The Man Who Stole a Leopard (Amazing Track IMO)
Not too keen on Safe (may grow on me) or Leave a Light On (a little dull)
it's really too bad that Andy T. and the other Durans can't work together. thought it was the best news for them when they announced that all 5 of them got back together several years ago.
Oh is this out? I've been asleep at the wheel then. I LOVED Pop Trash and Astronaut, but the 2007 album left me a bit bleh.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys
It's out for download only at the moment. Due for physical release - in theory - in February. It is actually very good, gotta say. Sounds like Rio Part Two, which is what Mark Ronson said he always wanted to make anyway.
It's currently the number one download in 15 countries, including the UK and US, so that's s good start...!

What?!?!?! You're saying there is no US physical release?

Well, I listened to it. It's easily more consistent than the last effort. But personally, I want something new and interesting. This is rehash to me. This is Pet Shop Boys doing 9 It's a Sin's in a row. Which sounds good of course, but it's just not what I was hoping for.

I really love this album. I've listened to the whole thing at least 10 or more times since I've had it. It actually feels like a more coherent album. Even songs that aren't my favorite on it are still pretty good.
There won't be a physical album release until February and then they'll release a CD with I think about 14 songs on it.
It's OK. I like 'Being Followed' and 'The Man Who Stole A Leopard' best.
Especially the beginning. Do I hear some 'Save A Prayer' melody there
at 0:22? Rather similar ...
