It seems like that "the snow is falling" song is the St. Etienne equivalent of Break 4 Love. Which is the better track?

Not big on trance. Not big on Rauhofer either. Break 4 love richard morel mix and the amdursky and laroz mix (particularly) are sublime.

I thought their cover of Break for Love was pointless. I loved the original.

To me ,the St. Etienne song is total garbage and it must be justified why it's better than Break 4 Love

Saint Etienne by miles. Now if it were the original Break 4 Love you mght be onto something. Peter Rauhofer's mix of I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more is quite alright though. Kind of random poll though. I'm sure there's dozens of techno songs with guest vocalists.

It's a Paul Van Dyk song anyway (featuring Saint Etienne), but most things Saint Etienne touch is gold. I just wish they could sell some records. I do prefer their normal, non-dance stuff.

Tell Me Why is one of the classic records of the last decade. Break 4 Love is something you download for free, play a few times, and open a mindless poll about. Oh.

Drico.

Yes. I like their pop version of It's alright but the original is obviously the definitive version. Nobody should cover house classics.

Although I do like Paul Weller's version of Joe Smooth's Promised Land.

What about the Etienne vocaled track is that much superior to Break 4 Love? To me it sounds like a breath of air just floating along, not much to bother with. At least Break 4 Love, while certainly a tad generic (Ab Fab being another example of generic PSB) has SOME attitude. The Etienne track is so sparse that I almost can't bear listening to the production. It upsets me. Break 4 Love is average, but it sounds full. Sh#t, maybe I'm really missing out on something, but I had the CD single of the Etienne track on and I could just barely make it through.

Or am I just thinking to much?

I don't know, my mercurial friend. Maybe you could open a poll about that.

Drico.

I must admit I'm at a loss why those two songs are being compared anyway. Is there a common factor I'm missing?

Saint Etienne is a band many PSB fans listen to. Both songs came out around the same time, and both tracks are with techno DJ producers.

Any idea how hard it is to get a song to do this???
