Of course a slew up people will come and vote that they dont know or like St. Etienne just to spite me. But that's alright, if that's what you do, then you're not a good moral person is all.

Whats the point for crying out loud? Basically, if the votes are similar, it's been hijacked to spite Lord Forth. Get a grip ffs.

How could it be hijacked? I'm only one person. But there are a lot of people in the forum who tend not to like me or some of things things I say about things like Paul van Dyk songs.Radiophonic wrote:^ What he just said.Undertaker wrote:Whats the point for crying out loud? Well, at least PB understands me in one regard. New Bevis and Butthead this year for those who may have missed the news.

I don't dislike Scapa Flow - or anyone on this forum. Like I say, lighten up.

I personally love Saint Etienne and think their Smash The System double CD is one of the finest Best Ofs ever released.

Yeah, I agree with Kris. A great pop group, and another similarity to PSB that the Firthmeister has failed to mention is that Bob Stanley was a music journalist before he turned gamekeeper. The other one went to my old school which makes me Sting.
Re: Here is the God Damn St. Etienne Poll Holios
And Bob Stanley sang on Love etc.
Too Young To Die - The Singles is their Discography, but without the worldwide hits.
I've always had an ambivalent relationship with Saint Etienne. I liked The Sound Of Water - which was a difficult album by any standards - but only a few tracks from Finisterre. Heart Failed, He's On The Phone, Avenue, Pale Movie, and Hobart Paving are magical, but Sylvie and The Boy Is Crying leave me cold.
I prefer their pop persona to their indie identity, and it's the latter which has dominated in my view.
Drico.
