I'm wondering peoples opinions about the new hairstyle many teens have been wearing (see picture). It's sometimes worn with the racoon eyes like in the picture, but is often worn by more "normal" girls. I think it looks terrible. It's this giant mass of hair the dwarfs their head. I've even see guys wearing the exact same hair, with the giant combover and two strands going down in front. I had mostly only seen this type of hair in online pictures but recently I'm seeing it out and about. What does this hair signify? It appears only "popular" girls wear it, but also more emo or esoteric girls. In many decades, there were times when EVERYONE had the same haircut, in the 40s, in the late 80s with the perms, etc. It often seemed to go accross class or popularity lines. I'm glad we are all less conformist now, but this haircut just looks so offensive to me. I've actually read about the history of hair, and I'm well aware at the quite often unresaonable outrage at "long-hairs" the pops up all too often. But my problem with this is more just esthetic.

That girl looks alright. Over the top i suppose but i'd feel a lot more comfortable walking past her, than i would some stick insect with rotting teeth, who's just been to pick up her weekly prescription of methodone.

It's a judgement call, Undertaker, you can have your opinion about it. The racoon eyes are also especially ugly to me. They look rediculous. But I didn't like permed girls in the 80s either.

Her eyes are fine. Like i said, OTT but i do like eyes and they are nice. No problem with the hair or colour of it. Not keen on people with piercings though. Ears and belly button are fine but not eyebrows and mouth. ( i was going to put lips but thought better of it )

I think some goth chicks are hot,,,,not so much that one...she's too mousey looking. but love it when they dye long patches of their hair weird colors.. dont like the racoon eye thing either though.but when it comes time to get a good job she'll feel diffreently about her "indiviuality",until then let them enjoy it.

I've seen the male version of that haircut and I don't have enough hair left to wear it like that. Even if I did I'd probably look a total tosser. That said, I'm 36 and these are young kids. I couldn't care less how they wear their hair. If they like it that way then that's fine by me. I agree that the make up looks shit, and the odds are that she will too in 15 years time. Who cares though if she's happy with it now?

I find that it is usually the fake tanned "bimbos" that wear that hair cut. I probably chose a bad picture to represent it as she's obviously "alt" or whatever she is trying to be.

he looks like a freaking girl! I just cant relate.looking back, growing up the notion of being a guy and wanting to put on eyeliner or makeup just seems totally bizarre.

but as far as goth,this is more like it!
