May as well have one.
The Ryder Cup final day is absolutely gripping.

That was tension at it's highest. What a comeback from Europe.
Someone must have been looking down on them today

Re: The Sport Thread
Nice thread. As a sports fan I am.
But beside superstars around the world I will ask
have many of you have been competing on a high level or actually been succesful in any sport?
I have, in a small sport in my country.
Competed in highest league and won against world champion team several times.
Which sport? Take a guess.

I was on the Great Britain archery team for two years in the early nineties. I stopped shooting in 1996 but took it up again a couple of years ago. Score wise I'm shooting better now so depending on funding and time there's a tiny slim chance of going to Rio in 4 years.
Pertan, curling maybe?

That's actually very impressive. Good luck.redsock wrote:I was on the Great Britain archery team for two years in the early nineties. Pertan ;- I'd go for something to do with snow or maybe water polo.
Myself, i've had a century break at Snooker and about a dozen big scores but that was a long time ago. Struggle to get 40 these days. Also had an 109 not out at Cricket but that's well and truly a one off, plus it was a charity match, so the bowlers weren't great. Play off 12 at golf and also do a lot of cycling. I've basically only got one decent knee, so had to give up Football and Cricket.

109 no in at any level of cricket is an achievement.Undertaker wrote:That's actually very impressive. Ive hit 28 off 5 deliveries before, even told the bowler which boundary I was going to hit!!
Ive hit a 180 in darts too, just the once and plenty of 140s.
Also remember scoring a basket straight in, not off backboard or rim from my own half when I was 11!! Teacher told me not to shoot, to this day did not hear him!!

I'd normally struggle to get 25 runs. It really was the equivalent to declaration bowling. One of the crowd wrote: 109 no in at any level of cricket is an achievement.

28 off 5 is Gary Sobers territory. Do you still play?
