Erasure: The Violet Flame - New single link inside

#1 Post by james23_uk »

Wow what a hideous cover. Looks like something a five year old has pulled together for a school project.

IMHO is the worst cover ever released by Erasure, even me working 30' only with Paint could do a better work. Fonts, colours and skull are put there randomly. I've read that Andy Bell contributed to this cover art... maybe comin' back drunk from a night in a Miami club with this idea in his mind.

After have announced a good producer this is a great step back in the project...

From what I could gather reading at the erasure forum it's based upon Vince Clarkes wallpaper

Even by Erasure's lofty standards, this is an abomination of the highest order.

Some Erasure's artworks are 1000 times better than some PSBs ones... Anyway I'm agree when you say that this horrible.

Erasure used to have great artwork back in the day, but these last few years....

Shame the snippet sounded promising. This artwork is an abomination. I'm sure they could grad an art student instead who'd do it for nowt.

Nightbird one was good, strictly linked to the album concept even the last one was nice even if quite bizarre but this one is even worst than the Live At The Roundhouse hyper cheap one.

I really like Erausre, but the latest video shows that they don't hve money even on a good director... Sad.
