Caron Keating dies at 42...

...which won't mean much to those outside the UK and Ireland, but is pretty sad for those like me that grew up watching Blue Peter...

I used to like her when I was little. Not sure you could say it was a "crush". Sorry to have read the sad news here first. :cry:

There is treatment now available under the NHS for those who grew up watching Blue Peter.

Never liked Blue Peter, nor was really interested in Caron Keating, but I do feel terribly sad for her and her family. Cancer is a real bastard of a disease and it's horrible that people are struck down early in life through no fault of their own. :(

Modern medicine is very good, but in a percentage of cases the drugs aren't enough. :(

Yeah agreed a death is always tragic, so young as well.

Must say though never liked Blue Peter, it never really reflected my reality. Much prefered Freetime on ITV

I was very shocked to read of her death in the paper the other day. I didn't even know she was ill, although I did see her on television about two years ago and thought she looked extremely thin. It is very sad that she died so young. :(
