PSB & OMD
PSB & OMD
There's a slowly progressing discussion in the off topic section about OMD and I wonder if any of you know about any connection between PSB and OMD? And I mean by persons not the fact they are british pop duos which emerged in the 80's and still are active.

Funny isn't it? You'd think the two groups would be a no-brainer combo but to be honest I've never heard them spoken of or seen them together at the same time.
Re: PSB & OMD
I remember an edition of Sounds of the 80s with Sara Cox in which Andy and Paul were listening to and talking about tracks from Please.

OMD formed in 78, first record 1979.telys wrote: Thu 29 Feb 2024, 3:25 pm There's a slowly progressing discussion in the off topic section about OMD and I wonder if any of you know about any connection between PSB and OMD? But yeah visually PSB had more of the geeky uncool frontman and his silent sidekick shtick of OMD or Blancmange than pervy pop duos like Soft Cell
Re: PSB & OMD
I believe their first record was released in February 1980, sorry first album. First single came out in May '79. But they definately emerged properly in the 80'sNina wrote: Thu 29 Feb 2024, 6:07 pmOMD formed in 78, first record 1979.telys wrote: Thu 29 Feb 2024, 3:25 pm There's a slowly progressing discussion in the off topic section about OMD and I wonder if any of you know about any connection between PSB and OMD? Andy is a better dancer than Neil…

I’m convinced there’s been a connection OMD/PSB somewhere along the line. Would love to know!
