One of my favourite musicians David Gilmour released his new single on the 25th, about the same time as PSB new album was "leaked". His new album will come out in september.
The new single is called Piper's Call. I just had one listen and I'm not overwhelmed.
No PSB connections apart from the vague connection that Guy Pratt plays bass and he also played on Raise The Pressure with Johnny and Bernard who also worked with Neil and Chris.

Just had a listen to the title track "Luck and Strange" where DG resurrects a jam session with PF keyboardist Rick Wright from 2007. Wright died in 2008 so it's a quite emotional track to listen to. DG also employed a younger producer who came in with new, fresh ideas. Kind of what PSB did with Nonetheless.Zincubus wrote: Wed 04 Sep 2024, 8:24 pmPink Floyd and David Gilmour in particular are truly astounding !telys wrote:One of my favourite musicians David Gilmour released his new single on the 25th, about the same time as PSB new album was "leaked". Interestingly ( I think ) Wright and Gilmour both have/had holiday homes in Lindos , Rhodestelys wrote:Just had a listen to the title track "Luck and Strange" where DG resurrects a jam session with PF keyboardist Rick Wright from 2007. Yes, I believe that's where they rejoined their friendship in mid 80's after the horrors of The Wall.Zincubus wrote: Wed 25 Sep 2024, 12:26 pmInterestingly ( I think ) Wright and Gilmour both have/had holiday homes in Lindos , Rhodestelys wrote:Just had a listen to the title track "Luck and Strange" where DG resurrects a jam session with PF keyboardist Rick Wright from 2007. Might I add that Wright's solo album "Broken China" from 1996 is a masterpiece and a true concept album (about mental illness) on a level way above Waters' attempts on concept albums. "Broken China" might as well have been released as a Pink Floyd album, anyways I regard it as a follow up to The Division Bell.
