Neil's 70th 'announcement'
Posted this in the 'PSB appearances' thread but just in case anyone misses it, I was listening to Gary Davies' Sounds of the 80s show on BBC Radio 2 this evening and he said there would be an announcement on Vernon Kay's show on Wednesday to tie in with Neil's 70th, for 'Pet Shop Boys fans'.
Intrigued!

Probably the home release of the Live in Copenhagen movie?
Wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to have it available at the ROH shows as merch maybe?

Maybe Neil will be announcing their retirement?
My prediction is that it will be about live shows. Either more Dreamworld or some shows with New Order.

I know it's taboo over here but I can see that happening. Everything these days is infused with a sense of coming full circle (the end of Dreamworld concerts when they go out of the stage with Being Boring, A new bohemia lyrics & video, Nonetheless artwork, Love is the law lyrics...).TallThinMan wrote: Sun 07 Jul 2024, 11:32 am Maybe Neil will be announcing their retirement?

Hopefully it's just Neil announcing a solo project or maybe his memoirs.

DREAMWORLD 2CD+BLU-RAY + a new t-shirt of some kind.
September release - perhaps already on streaming/download sales soon.
Makes sense...

They wouldn't come onto UK radio to announce a US tour!Choliux wrote: Sun 07 Jul 2024, 3:49 am US Tour? Orchestral concert? Special guest at the ROH shows?
Vernon mentioned this morning that it was 'major PSB news' which is intriguing. Maybe Neil is announcing a change.

I don't see retirement being announced on the radio. That seems more of a press release topic.
I think it has to be Dreamworld released in September or October.
Or maybe... 4th single?
