Limmy

Limmy’s latest upload is him discussing West end “Guruls”. An interesting watch. He is a fan as it turns out, as sometimes his “watch alongs” get some pastings.

He likes them but I don't think he's a massive fan, although I've seen him wearing an Actually t-shirt during his streams. From what he's said in the past, I think he' a bigger Erasure fan and prefers them over PSB.

Christ, what a pub-bore with pish-all knowledge about how making a record works. Interesting to see Bobby O's "manager" pop-up in the comments

I like dipping into Limmy’s stuff, but no way could I hope to keep up with his gazillion hours of Twitch streaming. Have seen him wearing several PSB tee-shirts in his vids, so assumed he was a bigger fan than that video would indicate. I mean, a Pet Shop Boys tee-shirt doesn’t strike me as a meaningless statement like, say, a Ramones or Nirvana one.

Nickname should do a poll: how many casual, or in-passing fans own a piece of PSB wearable merch?

I watched this last week. I actually think that Limmy has a point, because listen for example to this demo https://youtu.be/b5NGkp_ZTGc?si=YUkQKbmyXUeSmsE8 - it's much closer to the released version than Steven Hague's West End girls was to its demo.

That was a painful watch, trying and failing to get his brain into gear for nearly 15 minutes!

Ha Ha.... "what's he write... alright, the words, the melody and what have you"... yeah, that's a song!

We get it, he likes people who come across as "auteurs"... and Prince can play anything... but his best recordings/songs rely on some amazing contributions from others... my favourites wouldn't be the tracks they were without Wendy & Lisa.

Makes you wonder how much of Limmy's comedy is just stuff he's said/done seriously in real life and then other people have laughed at it... so he's repeated it on camera to make a sketch. One of my favourites is... "can you tell me how to get there"...
