Home made PSB remixes

#1 Post by Marco »

Hi everyone,

I am a brand new member of this fantastic PSB Community...I am 29 years old, been a fan since West End Girls...and I come from Rome, Italy.

Beside PSB, i totally adore New Order/ Joy Division and The Smiths.
They are my favourite three bands ever.

I've been reading some posts in this forum and noticed that it is generally forbidden to exchange mp3's and musical files about N&C.
Since i make my own PSB remixes from time to time, I wonder if I can make you listen to them, posting a link to download the files...can I?

Again, Hi to everyone :D

I am sorry, this is me.....I dont know how I did it, but I wrote the previous topic as a "guest"....it's wrong, my username is MarcoS, not Marco :D

Sorry for the mistake (I'm a bit stupid when it comes to usernames, resigstrations, etc...)

If the file you are hosting includes samples from a commercial copyrighted release, then no you won't be able to link to it in public here.

If you were to post music you had made yourself that no-one else owned commercial rights to then that'd be fine.

Thanks Steve.

My remix of Home & Dry features Neil's vocals so I guess I cannot link it

My remix of Samurai in Autumn is instrumental, I just re-played the song afresh with some additional music I wrote. So I can link it?

i thought it was legal to use samples from an artist when the sample isnt longer than 10 seconds or so.. i made some remixes my own, and so i'd like to hear what you have been doing ;)

you got me triggered, here a snippet of a *homemade* remix of miracles.
No vocals in it .. so it must be legal.. right? :)

Yes and yes I'd have thought. Samples for HAD were made publically available for a competition a few years back. Your Samuari version doesn't contain any of the original, so you should be free to link to that.
just a bad loser
