A new poll!!!

#1 Post by arabe20 »

I've heard that the Boys instead of realising the PopArt album were going to release the best from the best; which songs do you think would have made that album?
My list:
West end girls
Love comes quickly
Opportunities
Suburbia
Its a sin
What have i done to deserve this
Rent
Always on my mind
Domino dancing
Left to my own devices
Being Boring
Where the streets has no name
Can you forgive her
Go west
Se a vida e
New york city boy
You only tell me you love me....
Home & Dry
Miracles
Flamboyant

Make you're list

They would have just included most of the biggest hits and probably chucked in Being boring and Love is a catastrophe* as well.

* "So why is Love is a catastrophe on there?"

Neil: "Well, it was planned as the fourth single from Release and rather than boring you all with Rent again, I, erm, we decided to have it on there. It's probably the best song we've ever written. When Elton heard it....."

the list of songs that would have been on the single disc was listed in Literally, but I don't have my copy where I live at the moment
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

I think it would have been embarassing how few of their post-1993 singles would have fit in there...
It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.

I know Suburbia wasn't on it... cause Farrow moaned at Neil for not including it... thus Popart was born

But Suburbia is one of best song they have, is a classic.. I don't know why they wouldn't have it included in the album.

Thank God they didn't release that. It's an insane tracklisting. Only one song from Please, no Rent or Heart (a UK number one!), no So Hard. And Somewhere instead of A Red Letter Day, New York City Boy instead of I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more...

Oh I disagree, that about sums them up. Lots of upbeat songs, and some newies thrown in. PopArt was better though.

And Flamboyant isn't there, either.

But Numb is, so it's likely that Flambo would have eventually replaced it in this version of PopArt too.
