Diane Warren + Psb = Numb ¿and two more songs?

#1 Post by Nickname »

I was taking a look to the old questions through the official site and I have seen something interesting:

Question 598:
Did Diane Warren come to you with her song Numb and said "I would like you to have this", or did you approach her? Keep up the good work lads - can't wait for PopArt.

Answer:
We approached her and she gave us three songs. Actually, she called me the other day, having just finished a new song and played it to me down the phone. It was good but I reminded her that we're meant to write our own songs! N

Do you think it means they have chosen Numb between three songs or they have got three Diane's songs to be recorded if they want?

I think they got three from which to choose the one that they will use. At least I really hope so, because Diane Warren is the bastard offspring of Satan in my books.

I wonder if the "recording work" with Elton John that included Believe/Song For Guy and In Private also included another Warren song. In Literally they certainly hinted at their being more than the two titles we already know, and the time period (around 2003) certainly fits.

personally I think they would have mentioned they recorded more than one diane warren song even if it didnt make fundamental. we knew they recorded numb for popart yet it didnt make it on that CD yet they still told us.

Well we anxiously await the long-overdue Fundamental issue of Literally that would clear up all these questions. This is the first time since I can't remember that they haven't tied in an issue with an album.

yep i was wondering where literally was too :(

Im sure we will get the issue with the exclusive track listing (thats been available for months) and we will find out what the remixes of Im With Stupid and Minimal are !!!

And we can find out that they played Potemkin at Newcastle and they have done a little tour ;)

Oh and when the NEXT issue comes out in spring next year we can find out they brought out a book in September of this year.... :)
