I hope you're right. I do think, however, that for that to happen, Minimal needs a good reaction from the public and much more radio/TV exposure than the last few PSB singles have received.joncool5 wrote:It will go top 10, especially as there seems to be a buzz at the moment.

Scandal
'Flamboyant' had rather a lot of TV exposure and I believe Radio 2 played it a lot (I do not know for certain since I am a Radio 1 listener!). So it all depends on a good reaction from the public....Kris wrote:

Yeah, we can rely on Radio 2 but the key is a wide listenership - if the local stations playlist it too then that will be real progress. Unfortunately, about 40% of the locals are owned by the Capital Radio Group, and Capital haven't playlisted a PSB song since Se a vide e.

I can quite understand why they do not playlist a PSB song after that ghastly garbageKris wrote:Yeah, we can rely on Radio 2 but the key is a wide listenership - if the local stations playlist it too then that will be real progress. The CELL by Stephen King instantly hit number 1 in New York Times Bookseller Lists selling well over 200 thousand copies in three weeks. This affirms my opinion: People really need an occassional good horror read...
