Or better still couldn't Body Shop have chosen a better looking model to promote their campaign...?
Ah, Neil was a model once showing T-shirts, remember? I prefer the model and the message.

I couldn't agree with you more Kirky....If her forum is anything to go by, plus her language to add to that, i find her totally repulsive.
From her: she´s surprised of comments about her forum when neither of you are registered there. In case you were registered, what the hell are you doing there?

it is your opinion and since I said earlier it will be respected, but don't forget that you are from Canada, therefore your opinion isn't partial, it is logical that you want to defend the position of his president, for erroneous that is . and that it isn't important for you that the animals die thus, it looks like to me a haughty and insensitive attitude of your part. I must say to you that your compatriots who are ashamed. it is something that you should ponder.

Well, let's not lose the focus here, but I personally find your comments about Lydia inexcusably harsh and offensive.
Before you fall all over yourself trying to defend her, keep in mind that she not only threatened the lives of people on this board BEFORE she was banned, but she did it even more so AFTER she was banned. She even threatened people at the Zeus board. And lest we not forget when she threatened to bash Neil's head in with a brick if he didn't talk to her when she was visiting London or something like that.

Call my comments harsh and offensive, but get your facts straight about her before backing her up. If a more reputable source proposed this, I might give it the time of day, but, frankly, Lydia is not.
On Zeus´ forum she was there very little and she hasn´t insulted anyone there.
If you didn´t understand the joke of the brick you obviously don´t have sense of humour . She´s not here either so could you stick to the topic instead of manipulating what she hasn´t even done? If you can´t stand Lydia why do you talk so much about her (I don´t talk about people I hate unless they do it about me before).

Etienne is banned from her forum for his ignorance and false accusations. He said about her she just attacks about seals and not about bull fights (when people who have talked about this latter subject know perfectly she is against violence to animals in general).

Could you stick to the topic at last, please???

I seem to remember her insulting and being vile about Glenny, and not too long back either..

Why didn´t you ask to be banned, then? No problem from her, just tell her your nick there.

etienne wrote:This "petition" was started by Lydia over at the tennant-lowe forum. She is from Spain and I stated there that I found it a bit disingenuous that she wants to campaign for animal rights in Canada when her own country has a tradition of bloodsport: bullfighting.

I've nothing against the animal rights movement, but the goal of Morrissey's boycott was to raise awareness of this issue and then have people actually do something about it. If all they are going to do is try and get two more celebrities to "raise awareness" then they've missed the point entirely.

This is really stupid. However, in this case, I'm NOT with stupid.

really not if you understood that it mentions that affronts would not be because of this topic. The people like you are very much places abound. But I will try to explain to you again so that you should understand. this is a petition and you liked or there is not those who have signed it petition. with a minimum of education you can understand that it isn't necessary to offend us to understand each other.

Thanks

Regards.

I still find it funny that the anti-seal campaign or whatever
didn't feel the need to speak up when half of Rwanda was
massacred. And that's only one example.

Get real people!

1. Based on her previous dealings around these forums, I have no interest in registering in her forum. Before she required registeration to go in, I did look around, and it her mindless, insane rantings. I believe one of her subforums was f*** Fan Club? Classy.

2. Since when is "I'm going to bash Neil's head in with a brick if he doesn't pay attention to me" a joke? I DO have a sense of humor, but it does not include violence against others. That is not humor at any level. Especially when coupled with her mountains of past topics on this very forum ranting about Neil not replying to her emails, Chris not replying to her emails, Redman not replying to her emails, the Fan Club not replying to her emails, not to mention her extreme displeasure with the PSB Chat. I would rather call that an unhealthy obsession that is spiralling closer to out of control than for safety's sake than a sense of humor.

3. There was plenty of insults from her (and to be fair, AT her) at Zeus's site. Or was that just her sterling sense of humor coming out yet again?

4. I don't talk about Lydia a lot, just when people spout out about how wonderful she is and question why she is banned from being here. I'll do that for anyone where people are questioning past bannings. And I'm not even a moderator.

5. I find it hilarious (see, sense of humor?) that someone is banned from Lydia's forum for disagreeing with her. For all the blather she coughs up about wanting her own fair say, her forum is probably the most strict of any of the three forums.

And if we must keep on topic at last- yes, it is bad that seals are clubbed for sport, but I find anything like this from someone like Lydia to be very empty and hollow. Even laughable. (See? Sense of humor again...)

people feel called to different causes. there are people who get really passionate about saving the whales or some kind of owl, and there are people who feel called to speak out abaout rwanda. one doesnt cancel out the other.

if one complains "well, the people who help animals dont care about humans and are wrong, then all they have to say is, "if you are going to take us to task you better be typing from a laptop in rwanda handing out food supplies to little matoombah personally ."

true glenn, but you know...I am just trying to get people
to really think about this.

previous poster> seals are not killed for sport. that would be
foxhunting in the UK, or running the bulls in Pamplona.
