>Pet Shop Boys release their brand new single “I’m With Stupid” on Parlophone on May 8.
>The single is available on CD, DVD single and 7-inch picture disc vinyl.
>The track listings for the UK are:
>7-INCH SINGLE
>I'm with Stupid
>Girls don't cry
I'm trying to get rid of vinyl, very awkward to move around. Last thing I want is lots of pretty piccy discs I'm never likely to play. I can even slightly understand the 12", but a 7"? What a waste of a format. This could have been a second CD. I would prefer to collect a CD with remixes or something different on. No wonder not sent me a postcard this time, probably too ashamed.
>CD
>I'm with Stupid
>The Resurrectionist
I could understand this at £1.99 in favour of a 7" but a 7" as well? Doh!
You get the A-Side again and one B-side not on CD as such...
>DVD SINGLE
>I'm with Stupid
>The Resurrectionist (Extended mix)
>Girls don't cry
>I'm with Stupid (video)
Great. So now I have PopArt DVD, Miracles (no video), Flamboyant in QT and I'm with stupid as a DVD. That's clever. Also it means that the choice for the GDC (probably a dig at the Cure LOL) bonus track are either a crappy 7" that wears out and crackles worse than the 12" or files you cannot play without converting to play on a CD player. Thanks.
>The various dance mixes of "I'm with Stupid" will be available for purchase on digital download stores. We will have give the details here once we have them from EMI. British chart rules only allow for three CD or vinyl formats to be released.
>This is so you cannot play them in clubs and you are forced into the way of the MP3 or more likely a new Microsoft Vista Controlled Music Format.
I'd prefer:
CD-Single (as is)
DVD Single (as is) - do I have to?
or...
CD SINGLE
I'm with Stupid
The Resurrectionist (Extended mix)
Girls don't cry
The Resurrectionist
CD Single with dance mixes as its happened before.
