Almost all Dutch DJ's have a very misplaced negative attitude towards the PSB. I don't really think that's due to lack of promotion and therefor PSB's fault. It's the fault of the sad media people overhere, not understanding what a great band like Pet Shop Boys is about. They are very, very underrared in Holland. To this very day I can't understand why. I've been a fan since 1997 and I am still obsessed with them. Thankfully.

You don't understand my statement I have made.
As I am living in the netherlands i know that psb are not promoted.
What I mean is that people who have listened to the new album (not PSB fans), do like the music. They will buy the album.
And what's the most important thing? Buying because of promotion or buying because they like the music...
I understand your statement perfectly well. You played the new album to a couple of friends. Some of them like it and might buy the album. But those 5 extra sales will have no effect on PSB popularity in general. You and I do more promotion for the new PSB album than EMI does.
Before you can even start to like music, you need to be aware of its existance.
