I've been wondering what Fundamental would've sounded like had they kept it synth-only.

Nowhere near as good I don't think!

I prefer them doing orchestral stuff, Battleship Potemkin is my favourite thing they've done, but for the next album it would be nice to have something more electronic.

I love the way the tracks intrude on each other and are symbiotically related: Sodom and Gomorrah is the high before the low of Luna Park, Integral destroys the optimism of Indefinite leave and God willing is the resurrection after Numb.

They've kinda flogged the "strings into synths" thing to death with Nightlife, Potemkin, and Fundamental. I like the idea of teaming with an up-and-coming producer (Stuart Price or Cameron Carra of Dr. Dre fame perhaps) for some electronica.
