Oh cheers, I can take my time then. Excellent

hmm... are you coming on to me, Scully? :P  ;)

listen, something really funny happened today on the way back to work from lunch. I was sitting in my car in my work parking lot waiting for Rent 12" extended to finish up on my stereo, and I hear this knock on my right window. I look up and there's this guy grinning at me and gesturing for me roll it down. he's from the same building in my office so I'd seen him around. so I hit the controls and he leans in and says -- "I couldn't help but notice you were jammin' away to Pet Shop Boys' Rent there!" :D

turns out he's a huge PSB (and Morrissey) fan and will be going to the DC PSB performance as well! funny, huh? normally, I never get to meet a PSB fan on the street on this side of the pond!

hmm.. y'know, I must've been really blaring it if he heard it all from outside enough to make out what track I was listening to. :D

I also had a weird experience regarding Rent, which was an absolute NON-hit in the Netherlands. I was driving through the Netherland with an Australian friend who's also a PSB fan. We stopped in a small harbour village and drank something at a sailors pub. Suddenly "Rent" was played... - Kind of bizarre!

Miserablism
Bet she's not your girlfriend
The Resurrectionist
In the night
Hey, headmaster
Too many people
+
No time for tears - 7" mix

I also like What keeps mankind alive? and The sound of the atom splitting. 8)

I haven't heard these:

Pet Shop Boys - what's that one like?
Silver age
Screaming
Casting a shadow
The ghost of myself
Lies
Sail away
Always
Nightlife
Searching for the face of Jesus
Between two islands

My list, including short comments

01 Your Funny Uncle - a masterpiece, want it played at my funeral
02 Hey, Headmaster - another gorgeous song
03 Miserablism - fantastic lyrics... the 11th track of Behaviour, their best album
04 Betrayed - should have been track 4 on Bilingual, great production
05 Jack The Lad - better than most of Please!
06 Too Many People - musically and melodically a very rich song
07 It Must Be Obvious - outstanding production, unique in its own way
08 Searching For The Face Of Jesus - terribly underappreciated, gorgeous melody
09 Shameless - their most hit-potential b-side ever. Should have promoted Alternative
10 Screaming - catchy and effective! I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more should have been its B-side, rather than the other way around

11 Friendly Fire - beautiful song, one of the highlights of their musical
12 I Didn't Get Where I Am Today - I still don't understand why this wasn't the lead single from Release
13 Hit And Miss - as good as its A-side, both fantastic
14 No Time For Tears - could and should have been a single
15 Confidential - one of the best tracks PSB ever wrote for someone else
16 The View From Your Balcony - love the melody, way too good to be a B-side
17 Transparent - yes, I know you're all shocked, but I love this track. It's underrated.
18 Was That What It Was? - one of the better early PSB-tracks
19 Lies - great strings, catchy and cool Chris vocals
20 Delusions Of Grandeur - a stomper that would have worked as a single too

21 Don Juan - very good track, the 7th track of Introspective
22 I Get Excited (You Get Excited Too) - a very good b-side, great value for money
23 The Resurrectionist - a typical PSB b-side, meaning it's better than its A-side
24 A Man Could Get Arrested - same here.. (yes, I *do* think so)
25 Bet She's Not Your Girlfriend - catchy song, good as a B-side, not on an album
26 Sexy Northerner - PSB's dryest song ever, very nice
27 Decadence - the Very-era was great for b-sides, this is another proof
28 Do I Have To? - good, good. the fact that it was covered, says enough
29 Always - moody song, wouldn't have been out of place on Release
30 Positive Role Model - good, although the chorus could have been better

31 Sail Away - a nice cover, well done
32 The Calm Before The Storm - nice song, typical b-side
33 That's My Impression - vintage PSB, their 'oldest' sounding track
34 In The Night - a classic one, almost impossible to dislike
35 The Ghost Of Myself - a lovely experiment, catchy chorus, great production
36 The Boy Who Couldn’t Keep His Clothes On - nice and catchy, well-produced
37 We're the Pet Shop Boys - a nice cover, I love the Love Comes Quickly-chord in it
38 One Of The Crowd - nice track, funny lyrics
39 The Truck Driver And His Mate - great, although it should have had more lyrics
40 Paninaro - nice, but I prefer the 1995 single version

41 Girls & Boys (live) - nice how they turned it into a PSB-track
42 Girls Don't Cry - rather standard PSB b-side, typical, but OK
43 Casting A Shadow - nice instrumental track, works fine sometimes
44 Blue On Blue - it's retro, it's ok, but below average for PSB
45 How I Learned To Hate Rock And Roll - not bad, decent b-side, nice production
46 We All Feel Better In The Dark - unusual PSB track, I like it, but that's it
47 Nightlife - wouldn't have been the worst track on Nightlife. Don't like the falsetto vocals, though
48 Music For Boys - what to comment here? it's nice, but below average
49 The Sound Of The Atom Splitting - unusual, messy, but certainly not bad
50 Losing My Mind - well-done, but I prefer the finished Liza version

51 Silver Age - their answer to At The River by Groove Armada...- nice
52 What Keeps Mankind Alive - took some time to get used to. Difficult song, nice cover
53 I Want A Dog - the lyrics are better than the song itself...
54 A New Life - sounds too dated to me, never one of my favourites
55 Disco Potential - nice experiment ridiculizing U2 and Chemical Brothers, but too repetative
56 Euroboy - well-produced, but apart from that it's nothing special
57 Je t'Aime… Moi Non Plus - the orgasm sounds harm the track, I like the robot voice
58 Some Speculation - it's just... dull and too long
59 You Know Where You Went Wrong - failed attempt to redo West End Girls
60 Between Two Islands - it just goes nowhere, their worst b-side in a long time
61 If Love Were All - this is not Pet Shop Boys, it's Neil Tennant and an orchestra
62 Pet Shop Boys - it works on my nerves
