I was a member of Introspective shortly after Alternative came out, well before Before. I recall being quite insulted by someone on the list for some reason, which is probably why I left it. I seem to recall lots of debates about homosexuality.
I also recall waiting long periods of time on the college computer waiting to see if It Must Be Obvious--a news and rumors site--every so often. Wonder whatever happened to that.
I also loved the old Elusive PSB site, but then it went away very suddenly, not sure why?

Mike Fiorenza simply shut it down because it was too time consuming I guess. I remember all the discussion on Dotmusic at the time about the significance of the green dot left on the site after it was gone. It meant absolutely nothing of course, but the conspiracy theories abounded none the less. About the same time someone sold their entire PSB collection to an online store (can't remember which one) and everyone assumed it was Mike, and that he had given up on PSB altogether. Turned out not to be true though. I only ever subscribed to Introspective for a short time in the late nineties but never participated. It seemed a bit pointless after the Dotmusic Discussion forum came along.Cdrodkey wrote:I also loved the old Elusive PSB site, but then it went away very suddenly, not sure why?

I am right in thinking that some Closer To Heaven demos were uploaded to the Elusive site, several months before the stage production?Cdrodkey wrote:Regarding Elusive....
I was under the impression that some news story was spilled before it was supposed to, and that the website was given a lot of flack from someone, be it the pSB camp or EMI, or someone. I seem to remember that right before it went away.

Yeah, some snippets of the demos - 3 in total, if memory serves me right - were uploaded onto the site. I'm not sure if there was some kind of falling out between himself and PSB or he just lost interest in their music . At one point, he did help out with the official site but I think there were too many restrictions and he went back to working on Elusive.
I remember him on Dotmusic, I used to post there under the guise of Radiator around the time of Nightlife. After that my enthusiasm dampened for a few years and I stopped posting just after Dotmusics awful make-over, but I do remember Mike on the forums, seemed to be a good guy.
He gave Release a huge slagging, ripping into almost every track before vanishing into thin air. That was the last I remember of him.

I think Mike Fiorenza got reprimanded by the boys for announcing rumours on his own web site while he was also helping Redman with the official site. Shortly after that he seems to have lost interest in PSB.
And yes, snippets of 'Call me old-fashioned', 'For all of us' and 'Little Black dress', I think it was, were uploaded to his site long ahead of any other leaks from the musical. Very exciting at the time.

It was a cough that carried him off. It was a coffin they carried him off in.
