The.

As in-
The- Pet Shop Boys.

Of course, then we have the debate as to whether there should be a capital letter or not.

It'll never happen. But I can see PSB's collective contrary nature being amused at the prospect of an album produced by Xenomania titled as the complete antithesis of what they stand for:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2004/jul/18/popandrock5

What we stand for', Higgins insists, 'is everything about the interesting side of music, but with tunes the postman will whistle.' What does the name Xenomania mean exactly? 'It's the exact opposite of xenophobia. It means a love of everything - of all cultures ... ' Higgins grins. 'All through the years when I wasn't being successful [a gruelling but instructive apprenticeship to which we will return in due course], people were telling me, "You've got to change the name." Now everyone thinks it's great.'

As I said a few pages back, I think X would have been the most obvious titular candidate had Kylie not beaten them to it. Madge had a song called X-Static Process so that rules out X-Static or anything XTC related.

So as it's the tenth studio set and a collaboration with Xenomania, we should start a new sub-thread where your suggestions must contain the letter X within the word.

Here's a few for starters:

Pet Shop Boys, Exactly

Pet Shop Boys, Excel

Pet Shop Boys, Excellent

Pet Shop Boys, Exist

Pet Shop Boys, Exchange

Pet Shop Boys, Excavate

Pet Shop Boys, Exemplary

Pet Shop Boys, Experience

Pet Shop Boys, Excitation

Pet Shop Boys, Exaggeration

Pet Shop Boys, Expressionless

Pet Shop Boys, Exalbuminous

Pet Shop Boys, Extracts (obviously this has to be a 10-track album, with bonus disc: Extracted)

Pet Shop Boys, Extender (with bonus disc: Extended)

Pet Shop Boys, Expand (with bonus disc: Expanded)

Pet Shop Boys, Expense (with bonus disc: Expensive)

Pet Shop Boys, Experimental (with bonus disc: Experimentalism)

Pet Shop Boys Essex. Oh hang on, Alison Moyet's album (the one with Whispering Your Name) was called that....

How could I have known I was being so completely unoriginal when I have your posts on 'Ignore'?

Sorry, it's just blank so I've no idea what you actually posted. Call it an educated guess.
