The next World Cup should be interesting. No doubt Samuel Eto'o is one of the best strikers around, so Cameroon have a huge chance of winning it. Afterall, it's normally the ability of the players that effect the ability of the team some would say?

Nahh, it's normally average players that make a great winning team, look at Spurs.

And on a serious note, how the hell did Spain win the World cup and Euro's with such players as Xavi and Inesta in midfield? Great players don't make great teams so it's surprising. Well, they probably wouldn't have won them if they had Modric which would have backed up your twisted logic perfectly Undertaker!

Don't try and get out of it. You are the one basing a player's ability on the team he plays for. Nobody else.
Strange that he didn't make much of a difference for Spurs this season? Don't really get that?
Like i said, how come Messi, Ronaldo and Eto'o don't win any of the World Cup's? because....

So what's going on with Kasper Schmeichal? The noises are that he's being forced out.

I really don't know. He claims not to have been offered another contract but Leeds claim his agent made it clear he was unlikely to sign one. I suspect he wanted to have the option to walk away on a free if we didn't go up next year. Seems we are going to sign Paul Rachubka (who Grayson knows from his time at Blackpool) and are looking at Alex Smithies from Huddersfield although as always I'll believe that when I see them in a Leeds shirt.
We are star stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands. The loom of time and space works the most astonishing transformations of matter. We are a way for the universe to know itself.

Messi, Ronaldo and Eto have won plenty of things in their careers and have contributed massively in doing so last time I looked. Or are they crap if they have never won the world cup with their national teams? So Spain are basically the only decent team on the planet then and Spanish players the only good one's? What you on about? Seriously, you are talking absolute drival once again and you know it. Just because you are a Spurs fan you are against judging players on what they have achieved, that much is obvious.

Like I've said before, it was you that was judging a players ability on the season his team had. So therefore, going by your logic, Argentina, Portugal and Cameroon should win everything. That was your logic, too late to back out now. ''Its the ability of the player that affects the ability of the team.''

Anyhow, moving on, its probably time to lock this thread and send it to the vaults. Season 2011/2012 is nigh.

Going by your logic quality players don't make quality teams, and if the only way you believe a team is quality is if they win the world cup then you must have lost your marbles.

Glad to see United have signed a quality player in Ashley Young, although Villa weren't much cop last year so he's probably useless.
