Hey all, I know it's been over a year since the last post on this but I have to share this.
I recently had the weirdest dream. I was reading a review in a magazine about Hotspot and at the very bottom it said: The next Pet Shop Boys album "
Quane" will be released next month.
When I woke up I remembered the word and wrote it down as I thought it must be a made up word.
Looking up the meaning it says (from urban dictionary, no less):
to quane: to act in a lazy manner unremorsefully; to expend no energy; to have no ambition for a given period; to intend to do nothing for the day except sit and slouch; to act in a manner unbecoming to a normal human.
OR
Quane, pronounced "qwayne", is like queen but taken to the next level. Basic bitches think they're queens but the QUANE is the alpha. He/she is the omega. No one is better and no one does it better. The quane can't and won't be topped.
until I looked up the meaning with the online dictionaries. It was something like :- "Hotspot" Wi fi (Which, I thought it meant), Dodgy crime area, something hot and a place of entertainment. So, perhaps it may mean a "place of entertainment". This one sounds much better to me.
