I ADORE this 2/0 demo and think it's far superior.to the restrained version released. I personally think its the best of all the demos from this pre-fame period, just insane. Just wish it was available in decent quality.

To me, the "badubadubadum" thing has always just been some sort of musical idea for a sound still to be found. I don't think it has to be taken for the "real thing". It really has a rhythmic quality, though.

The track is just a really early demo. But I still find the rest of the song (the arrangement, the melody and all) quite interesting.

Well honestly, I love it. It’d make a great track if revisited and fleshed out, especially after hearing the Nathan Jay remix;

Well said. I would have assumed there'd be zero percent of them ever revisiting it, but given the Nonetheless era brought us "It's Not A Crime" and "I've Got Plans (Involving You)" it's no longer out of the question. I do hope you're right though about "badubadubadum" being "some sort of musical idea for a sound still to be found", as it gets really annoying, really quickly, as a garbled vocal line.

Retro. :)
